Who we are
Lefty's Lounge is published by 4 Ben Communications LLC. Contact us at contact@leftyslounge.com.
What we collect
- If you read: basic technical data your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address and device type. Our host keeps standard server logs.
- If you join: your name, email address and a password. We store your password only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it.
- If you comment or report: what you write, any link you attach, and the time.
- If you write for us: your articles and profile text.
Why we use it
To run the site, let you sign in, show your comments, keep the site safe from spam and abuse, send you account emails like password resets, and understand how the site is used.
Cookies
We use a small cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms from forgery. These are necessary for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
Counting visitors
We keep a simple count of visits to understand which pages people read. It uses no cookies and no outside tracking company. Each visit is stored with a scrambled fingerprint that changes every day, the page visited, and the website the visitor came from, if any. We cannot tell who you are from it, and we do not follow anyone from one day to the next. We do not count visits from the site's own staff.
AI tools
Comments and reports may be reviewed by an AI tool to flag rule-breaking content. We send only the text needed for that review. We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to run the site, such as web hosting, email delivery and AI services. They may process data on our behalf. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
How long we keep it
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Backups may hold data for a limited time after deletion.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing contact@leftyslounge.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will respond as the law requires.
Children
You must be at least 13 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The Whiskey & Bourbon and Cigars rooms are for adults 21 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top.
