How we work
Corrections policy
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it in the open.
What we do
- We correct factual errors as soon as we confirm them.
- Corrections are labeled at the top of the article with what changed and the date. We do not quietly rewrite history.
- If a mistake is serious, we say so clearly and may also note it on the homepage.
- If an article cannot be fixed, we may remove it and leave a short note explaining why.
What counts as a correction
Wrong facts, names, numbers, dates, quotes or attributions, and claims our sources do not support. Differences of opinion, and updates when events change, are not corrections. Developing stories may be updated with a note saying what is new.
How to report an error
Email report@leftyslounge.com with the link to the article, what you believe is wrong, and a source that shows the right information. You can also use the Report button on any article.
We read every report. We cannot promise a reply to each one, but we do act on documented errors.
